Charley Boyter

 

The great Charley Boyter (pictured left) has received an invitation to be inducted into the Old Time Country Music Hall of Fame from the National Traditional Country Music Association. Congratulations Charley.

John Battle has made tracks into the studio and started recording his new Bush Ballad album.
His debut album "Lil' Bit Country" saw him take out Winner of the 'New Talent' Gigee Coal Bush Ballad Awards and Bungendore Country Muster Awards, while receiving many finalist nominations along the way.

Alice BenferCongratulations to Alice Benfer (Pictured Right) from Gympie who won the Garden City Country Music Clubs annual "Youth Country Music Rush" held at Oakey. Alice gets her name added to the perpetual trophy and a guest appearance next year.

Sharon Smith has made the finals for "New Independent Artist" in the Meet 'n' Greet Awards to be held on the 20th January 2011 in Tamworth. Visit the new website at www.meetngreetcountry.com to see the finalists and vote for your favourite independent artist.

The winner of the Kross Kut Records Volume 4 Peter Hill print will be drawn this month and posted in the August web update, so make sure you have your entry in.

Congratulations Lex K on the release of his new album "My First Song" launched in Gympie on Friday 4th June. Containing 13 great tracks including a duet with long time friend Anita Ree.

 

Our thoughts go out to Coral, wife of the late Rick Aitchison. Ricko was a great friend, an amazingly talented songwriter and singer, you will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

2010 will see Singer / Songwriter Lex K release his 2nd album with Kross Kut Records.
With an overwhelming response to his last album "That's How I Am" released in 2008, Lex is now placing the finishing touches on a new album to be released later this year. The album will feature 12 great new tracks once again staying true to Lex's Bush Ballad heart.

New Single Out Now

Ken "Chainsaw" Lindsay has released a brand new song on the airwaves titled "Victoria The Place to Be". The quirky song written by Meryl Rossington better known as "Rebel" poses the question to why there are so many Victorian number plates heading north. A great new track featured on Kross Kut Records Volume 4, with an abundance of great artists.

This is Ken's 3rd single to be featured on Kross Kut Records Compilation albums the other 2 tracks being "Christmas Everyday" released in 2006 and "These Old Hands" in 2008. His debut album "From Cross Cut To Chainsaw" featured 12 great tracks and was released late 2006.

Born and Bred in Western Australia, Grant Hart has released

Grant is well known down the Western Coast for his uniquely Australian style and coming from a farming background, he writes songs about life as he saw it. Grant has included 8 self penned tracks on his album, including; Clearing Sale,
When's it Gonna Rain? and Moisture Meter Misery. He has also included John Williamson's "True Blue" and "Mallee Boy",
Joy McKean's "Walk A Country Mile" and the Jimmy Barnes hit "Working Class Man".
